Delhi University (DU) has released the admission schedule 2020 for Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) Merit and Entrance based courses for Session 2020-21. According to the admission schedule, the first UG cutoff will be released on 12th Oct 2020 at 10:00 a.m.
The first merit list for Entrance based admissions of UG courses will be released on 19th Oct 2020 while the first merit list for PG Entrance/Merit-based courses will be released on 26th Oct 2020. The session 2020-21 for all UG and PG Courses will start on 18th Nov 2020.
Schedule for UG Merit-based Admission Process
The admission for UG Merit-based courses will start with the release of the first cut-off on 12th Oct 2020. The admission will go on for 3 days for every cut-off and the last day to pay the fees will be the 5th day. For example, the process for 1st cut-off will go from 12th Oct 10:00 a.m. to 14th Oct 5:00 p.m. So for fees payment, 16th Oct would be the last date. This method will apply to all the other 5 cut-off lists.
Delhi University will also conduct a special cut-off drive for reserved categories students and other students who may miss the admission dates. The special cut-off will be released on 18th Nov 2020. The last date to pay fees would be 22nd November 2020. The notice also specified that if seats would be left vacant, further cut-offs will be announced.
Schedule for UG Entrance-based Admission Process
The 1st merit list for UG Entrance based courses will be released on 19th Oct 2020. The first spot admission registration portal will open on 9th Nov. This will be followed by the seat allocation on 10th Nov then admission to the spot on 11th Nov and then a final payment of fees on 13th Nov.
Spot admissions are basically concerning the seats that are left after the requisite merit lists. These are filled by releasing the vacancies and ranks prior to the date of spot admission. DU stated that further vacancies will be filled by further spot admissions.
Schedule for PG Entrance/Merit-based Admission Process
The 1st merit list for PG Entrance/Merit-based courses will be released on 26th Oct 2020 and will go on till the release of the 3rd merit list on 9th November. It was stated that more merit lists will be announced in case of further vacancies.
